That unsettling feeling
Pluto in its final degrees in Capricorn, the Full Moon in Taurus, Saturn going direct and a new 2025 Reading offer
Hello friends,
How are you? I know that the first two weeks of November have been..unsettling. Have you been feeling unstable and unsure of where you stand or where to go? You are not alone. I also give you a hug. I’ve been needing one, too.
Practicing and studying astrology has really helped me deal with all my emotions and anxieties with a more objective lens. Because my Mercury (planet of logic, information, communication) is in analytical Virgo, I worried for a bit that this was some form of escapism, blaming my big emotions to the movements of the planets and luminaries. But precisely because my Mercury is in Virgo, I was able to observe how accurate the quality and details of the feelings match the specific points in space and thus its significations.
So anyway, here are some reasons why it’s been feeling a little tricky, to say at the very least.
Pluto has been moving in its final degrees in Capricorn: the last bits of drudgery, the scraping of the bottom of the barrel, of the lessons that this transit brings. In its lightness, the archetypal Capricorn energy encourages ambition and the willpower to achieve those dreams. The shadow of that though, is relentlessness, excessive willpower to get to those dreams no matter what. The ends justify the means, a Machiavellian construct. Since Pluto stepped into Capricorn in 2008, the hustle culture descended upon us and took over; the socioeconomic hierarchy was severely protected by those on top, leadership reeked of toxic masculinity. This is one of the big reasons we have, as a collective, been feeling so stuck and unstable at the same time. It is a weird feeling. Feeling so tethered to something you no longer want to be stuck to, and feeling a big sense of change coming up, but that alone feels scary. We are often scared of the unknown.
On 5:15AM,November 20, Philippine Time, Pluto finally steps into 0 degrees of Aquarius. Aaah. The Aquarian energy entails a big shift of power. It will feel like a dam breaking, a surge of power now flowing all throughout as opposed to concentrated only from the top. Of course this won’t happen overnight. But ever so slowly (as slow as Pluto’s movements—it takes this planet 12-30 years to get through a single zodiac sign), we will feel rumbles from deep within us, a wake up call to finally realise the powers we contain.
But let me step back a little. Before that, the moon goes full in 23 degrees of Taurus on November 16 Philippine Time at 4:15AM. Beside it though, at 25 degrees of Taurus is Uranus, the planet called “the Great Awakener” as it brings forth the unexpected. And because full moons bring so much light, it could bring light to surprises. This is neither good or bad (I’m always asked this); I guess the unexpected just happens and then you can decide how you feel about it. In the sign of Taurus though, this could mean wildcards that can bring about stability. (I personally like this, after this season of feeling so unstable.) Venus, the planet that rules Taurus, is in Capricorn at the moment, and it makes me think that whatever the full moon illuminates in your life will you propel you to work even harder towards keeping it.
It could be helpful to think about your previous New Moon list of manifestations and six months ago—what were you wishing for?
Here is where the full moon will shine in your life:
Aries Risings: money and how you value yourself
Taurus Risings: your self-image and confidence
Gemini Risings: secrets might be revealed or the unknown will make itself seen
Cancer Risings: an unexpected change in friends, social networks
Leo Risings: career and reputation
Virgo Risings: international travel and higher education
Libra Risings: intimacy, taxes and shared resources
Scorpio Risings: partnerships
Sagittarius Risings: daily routines, work, health
Capricorn Risings: romance, creativity, play, children
Aquarius Risings: changes in home situations
Pisces Risings: communication, siblings or neighbors, domestic travel
I’d like to remind everyone that sometimes things don’t happen exactly on the day the moon goes full, but a couple days before or after.
Saturn has been retrograde in Pisces since June of this year. It will finally station direct on Friday, 11:15PM Philippine time. This is another reason it’s been feeling slooooow and unsteady. I’m really glad it’s going direct and things will feel to have a little bit more momentum now. If you’ve been experiencing delays, expect a little movement again. I say a little because Mercury and Mars will be going retrograde soon, but that’s for another post. Til then, let’s all take a deep big big biggest inhale in and exhale what you no longer need out. Ahhhh.
Oh and before I forget! I just listed a new reading over at my site: the 2025 Reading. It’s a lengthy month by month reading for 2025 with help from astrology, oracle and tarot decks and our loving astral guides. I’m super excited to do this, and I hope you get a reading because we will get deep and personal. (As in we will need a notebook and a pen, and perhaps lots of coffee and snacks.) And because it is super intense, I’m opening only a couple of slots for readings for the next couple of months. I hope you consider getting a reading!
Love and good vibes,
Wiji
